Using Artificial Intelligence for the reconstruction of historical figures
I have used Artificial Intelligence for the reconstruction of 5 historical figures based on the photos of their mummified remains đ
1ī¸âŖ. Ramses II (1,303 - 1,213 BC). Approximately 90 years old. His successors and later Egyptians called him the "Great Ancestor".
We can also guess how Ramesses II looked like when he was younger!
2ī¸âŖ. Guanche mummy of "Barranco de Herques" (Tenerife, Spain). Of Berber origin (which explains why many of them were blond with blue eyes), the Guanche term comes from the word wanshen, which could be translated as "the men of Ashenshen", which is how they called Tenerife.
3ī¸âŖ. Tollund Man. May have been a victim of human sacrifice between 405 B.C. and 380 B.C. Tollund Man was between 30 and 40 years old when he died and stood at least 5 feet 4 inches (163 centimeters).

4ī¸âŖ Lady Rai (c. 1570/1560 â 1530 BC) was an ancient Egyptian woman of the early 18th Dynasty who served as nursemaid to Queen Ahmose-Nefertari (1562â1495 BC). She is the oldest known mummy with evidence of atherosclerosis.
Lady Rai, in detail.
"The most perfect example of embalming that has come down to us from the time of the early 18th Dynasty, or perhaps even of any period".
5ī¸âŖ. Menmaatre Seti I (or Sethos I in Greek) was the second pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty of Egypt during the New Kingdom period, ruling c.1294 or 1290 BC to 1279 BC.

I think this new use of artificial intelligence in the reconstruction of historical figures has been a valuable tool in helping us to visualize (or at least, trying to do so) and better understand individuals who lived in the past.
By analyzing the physical characteristics and features of mummified remains, AI has allowed us to not only to see what these historical figures may have looked like, but also to gain insight into their lifestyles and cultural backgrounds. These reconstructions provide a unique window into the past, offering us a glimpse of the people who shaped the world we live in today.
