First, download Photoshop Beta (after you subscribe to Photoshop you can download it from the Creative Cloud app).

A. Expanding existing images (out painting)

💡 Let Photoshop generate parts of photographs or renders that never existed before! It's truly powerful.

Follow these steps (or watch the video in the first tweet):

1. Open the image you want to expand in Photoshop.

2. Expand the canvas using the Crop Tool.

Now we must select the area we want to generate. We are interested in it covering a bit of the image's edges so that Photoshop uses that information in the generation. We can do something like this:

3. Right-click on the layer > Select Pixels

4. Top Menu > Select > Modify > Contract > 50 pixels

5. Top Menu > Select > Invert

Detail: Another option is to hold down SHIFT with the selection tool and go selecting the areas that interest us.

6. Click on Generative Fill (you can use a text prompt, but it's not necessary): let the magic begin!

7. Photoshop will generate 3 versions. You can switch from one to another with the arrows or generate new ones. On top of that, it generates them on a new layer, super convenient for retouching them as much as you need.

B. Connecting existing images

Very similar:

1. Open the images you want to connect in Photoshop in the same project

2. Combine the layers with Right-click on the layer > Merge Down. It's important that everything is on the same layer

3. For the selection, follow the same steps as in the previous example.

4. Generate!

C. Generating content within the same image (in painting)

This is where things get interesting!

Just select an area and write a simple prompt like "Cyberpunk octopus tentacles" or "Cyberpunk sunglasses" et voila!
